Peter Adkison is a game designer who has been an avid gamer his entire life. He is most famous as a founder and former CEO of Wizards of the Coast and owner of the Gen Con Game Fair.

He graduated from Walla Walla College in 1985 with a BS in computer science. He worked for Boeing for 6 years as a systems analyst. About halfway through he his stint at Boeing, he and some friends founded Wizards of the Coast which hired him to work full time around 1993. He continued as CEO of Wizards of the Coast until January 2001. After 2001, he purchased the Gen Con Game Fair from his old company. His favorite games have been Dungeons & Dragons and Magic: The Gathering.
