The Diana Jones Award is an annual award created to publicly acknowledge excellence in gaming. Each year's award acknowledges achievements in the previous year; the first award was presented at Gen Con 2001. The winner is decided by a committee of games industry figures, rather than by public vote.

The trophy itself is a perspex pyramid containing the burnt remains of the last copy of the infamous Indiana Jones RPG (the letters 'Diana Jones' can still be made out on the ashes, giving the award its name) as well as two cardboard ‘Nazi™’ figures from that game.

You're welcome! I guess the semi-secret nature of the committee means there is less impetus to appeal to the masses when choosing the winners.
